I tried this hair style. It was fun! And not too crazy for these days either. I would send a picture if I knew how to. But since my hair is straight and flat, I wet it, braided it in small braids and let it dry over night. Then took it out and brushed it. It gave me the loft and frizziness needed for this style.

I used a sock for a very long time but I find I get a better result from a net donut form. My hair is waist length, though, and I use the for starting at the end of my hair and rolling all the hair around that as I move it doen to the scalp. If you are just fanning your hair around the form as the link illustrates it might not matter so much.

I think unless you've got an oily scalp and therefore oily hair as a consequence, or work in an environment that gets your hair dirty, the average woman could probably get away with less frequent shampooing. And as one commenter pointed out, some hairstyles can be a bit time consuming, so you don't want to have to repeat the whole process every day.

I find the more often I wash my hair, the more it seems to need it. Its hard to "wean" my hair off this habit.

We're overwhelmed with beauty products and services today. A woman could literally spend all day in the bathroom. This routine is wonderfully simple and can be done without spending a month's salary on product or hours of time fussing.

I've never thought of trying those hair removing pads for my legs over shaving. There's a brand here in England called Satin Pure, but the customer reviews aren't enthusiastic.
